My name is Sampreet Choppala and here you will find some important achievements of my academic life and the forms of research and academic growth I wish to partake in! After graduating from high school in 2018 I decided to stay close to home at a nearby community college, Foothill College, where I spent two years pursuing an Associates in Biology. In this time, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by diverse peers and professors who shared common interests with me such as advocacy against climate change and supporting mental health awareness. Working out in any form such as hiking or sports is something that I value significantly as well as enjoying the natural world in its beauty untouched by humans in places such as natural landmarks or reserved parks. Personal hobbies aside, I was also granted the opportunity to work for a new biotechnology company, SnapDNA, where I was introduced to and practiced some of the skills I have developed in my chemistry, biology, and biochemistry laboratory coursework in a real world application such as dilution, buffer making, and cell counting.
