If you are a similar student like me and plan to apply to medical school you will first recognize that there are many different sources telling students what they should keep in mind when starting the monumental journey every medical school applicant must take when applying. Eventually all the information stockpiles and I lose track of what is necessary. The end result of my research and internet endeavors have led me to believe that learning from the source is the best way to genuinely understand what is required of the student. By clicking "View Process" you will find yourself navigated to the 2020 Applicant Guide published by the AMCAS or the organization in charge of coordinating applications to Medical Schools.The applicant guide may be a long read, but focus on specific parts of the application at a time. Once you have a familiar idea of the application's construct, then surf the web to find articles suggesting what one should incorporate within the application to gain a better understanding of the information that is appropriate to place in the application.
Sunrise Movement is an entirely youth-led organization that aims to produce large-scale changes towards helping the environment in regards to the climate crisis we currently face. There are numerous similar organizations, but the problem in today's society is that we have too many options to choose from and the end result is choosing to do nothing. After accepting the reality of the world's climate situation, providing yourself with one specific aspect of fighting for global change can inspire you to make tangible decisions towards fulfilling an objective. In my time at Foothill College, my climate activist English professor introduced me to this organization and set me onto a fruitful journey of creating a chapter and gaining professor and student support to help spread climate activism awareness to people on campus. Whether you believe individual choices may or may not make a huge difference, every person's actions towards climate activism is another step forward in the movement for a brighter future.
